  • Are they two separate beds or one large bed in the hotel?
    Each room has two separate beds that can be pushed together. Unfortunately, we do not have double beds.
  • Where can I park?

  • Is gluten-free and/or lactose-free breakfast available?
    Yes, that is possible, but it needs to be mentioned in advance at Please also provide the reservation date and the reservation number.
  • Can I pay upon arrival?
    No, unfortunately that's not possible. With the booking confirmation, we always send a link/URL that you can click on to pay for the room online immediately. You don't have to pay right away, but we do ask you to have paid for your room at least 2 days before arrival. You can pay via Ideal, bank transfer, credit cards, Bancontact, and several other payment options. Immediately after you've made the payment, you will receive a confirmation email from us acknowledging receipt of your payment.
  • Are pets allowed
    Pets are allowed in the hotel but not in the hostel. We charge a one-time cleaning fee of EUR 15 for this. By the way, it's not permitted to leave your pet alone in the hotel room.
  • What's the best way to travel to Amsterdam?
    There are several ways to quickly get to Amsterdam. The fastest and easiest is obviously by Uber/Taxi. The cost for this is approximately EUR 28. You can also take Bus 120 to Amsterdam Zuidoost. This bus stops 50 meters from our building on Hoogstraat. From Amsterdam Zuidoost, you can continue your journey by metro or train. Alternatively, you can walk to Abcoude train station in just under 15 minutes. From there, you can take the train to Amsterdam Central or get off earlier at Amsterdam Arena (Zuidoost).
  • What are the opening hours of the restaurant?
    Bar / Reception: Monday to Thursday from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM (or later if it's lively) Friday to Sunday from 12:00 PM to 2:00 AM (or later if it's lively) Restaurant: Monday to Thursday from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM Friday to Sunday from 12:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
  • What time can I check in / enter my room?
    You can enter your room by 3:00 PM at the latest. As soon as your room is ready, you will automatically receive an email notifying you that your room is available. Since you've already paid online, you are automatically checked in. In the email, you will also find the digital room key which you can use to open the barrier, access doors, and your room. If you prefer a plastic card, you can pick one up at our reception/bar.
  • What is the difference between the Hotel and the Hostel?
    Hotel Koekenbier and Kingshostel each have their own entrance (next to each other). The 12 rooms of the hotel are located in the newly constructed part at the back of our building, while the 8 hostel rooms are in the old building on the 2 floors above the restaurant. Because of this, there may be more noise from the street and restaurant in the hostel. The hotel rooms each have a modern private bathroom, whereas in the hostel, toilets and bathrooms are shared. In the hostel, you can book per bed, which means there might be others sleeping in the same room, while in the hotel you can only book entire rooms. However, you can also book a private room in the hostel.
